Conservatism

I’ve been reading up on what it really means and it has fuck all to do with the conservative party. It’s about preserving tradition like the family unit, mother and father rather than single parents or same sex parents. which makes me think, not having a dad in my life am i any less than i would have been? I don’t think so, but conservatives do. My fear of myself, i don’t drink in part because I don’t trust myself anymore. what if I hit Claire? I hope I never do but so called ‘good’ men i know, the guys that have been my father figures have all been known to slap a girl about. what makes me any different from them? Is this because my dad did a runner or would it have happened either way? 

Pointless really thinking about it because I’ll never know, I think I turned out alright, not a bad dude, i hope anyway.
